The Way Out West Pride (West Pride) took place during the festival this year. Alexandra Dahlström took part in a panel interview called Fucking Queer from Then to Now. It’s in Swedish only so I can’t give too much more information but it’s always nice to find new videos!
The Way Out West festival took place in Gothenburg from August 10th – 12th this summer. Alexandra Dahlström attended the event and was part of the line-up this year. There was a screening of the newly digitized version of Fucking Åmål as well as many parties. See the gallery of photos below as well as an interview with Alexandra from Göteborgs-Posten.
This photo was posted by Instagram user @internette from an event at Vassa Eggen on April 26th. Alexandra Dahlström and Eric Sjöwall DJed for the night and this is the only photo I’ve come across so far. Alexandra has been keeping up with her DJ gigs so there are plenty more floating around the internet which I hope to see!
With the digital revival of Fucking Åmål recently, the updated version of the film was screened at Bio Victor, Filmhuset in Stockholm yesterday night. The event was sold out and photos have started to appear online.
Following the film there was a discussion with Alexandra Dahlström, Rebecka Liljeberg and film producer Lars Jönsson. They discussed the film, the Guldbagges and the film’s significance today.
One video has popped up on Instagram of Alexandra & Rebecka signing autographs for fans.
The premiere of UFOPODDEN took place on February, 22, 2017 at Fotografiska in Stockholm.
UFOPODDEN is an eight part radio drama series presented by Swedish Radio Drama P3 and is airing on a weekly basis. If you understand Swedish you can listen to the podcasts on their website. The podcasts are about mysteries and encounters with the unknown. It sounds similar to the TV show Black Mirror or The Twilight Zone but in radio format.
Alexandra Dahlström attended the premiere and DJ-ed alongside her friend Andreas Kleerup.
There is a video on Youtube from the Göteborg Film Festival of the opening night festivities. There was an icebreaker event called Min Nya Vän or My New Friend which paired up attendees with someone they may not know in order to make a new friend. Alexandra Dahlström was paired with a young woman named Ana Alcana at the event. Here is a very brief snippet from the Min Nya Vän event. You can see Alexandra and Ana at the 1:13 mark.
Alexandra Dahlström is attending the 40th annual Göteborg Film Festival this year from January 27th to February 6th. Here are a couple photos from opening night at the premiere of Tom of Finland at Draken.
On February 2nd there is a Film Profile of Alexandra Dahlström taking place at the festival. There isn’t much information available yet but I’m hoping she’ll be there in person.
