The premiere of UFOPODDEN took place on February, 22, 2017 at Fotografiska in Stockholm.
UFOPODDEN is an eight part radio drama series presented by Swedish Radio Drama P3 and is airing on a weekly basis. If you understand Swedish you can listen to the podcasts on their website. The podcasts are about mysteries and encounters with the unknown. It sounds similar to the TV show Black Mirror or The Twilight Zone but in radio format.
Alexandra Dahlström attended the premiere and DJ-ed alongside her friend Andreas Kleerup.
In recent news – the film Show Me Love has become digitized which means it can now me shown properly on TV and in theatres. In the article I read on Sydsvenskan it also seems that there is going to be an interview (or at least a conversation) with Alexandra Dahlström & Rebecca Liljeberg!
The film was shot by an intricate analogue process that gave it a special grainy appearance. It has therefore not been digitized with sufficient quality until now. Earlier transfers to television and video has been deemed too dark and noisy.
On March 15 show Cinematheque in Stockholm on nydigitaliserade film and also offer a conversation with, among others protagonists Rebecka Liljeberg and Alexandra Dahlström, writes the Swedish Film Institute in a press release.
“Show Me Love” was seen by over 868,000 moviegoers, was awarded several Gold Rams and was praised internationally.
I really hope to see something online if this interview is happening. With the news about Show Me Love, there have also been some better quality photos popping up online from 1998 which are so hard to come by! For instance, this beauty which I’ve uploaded to the photo gallery.
There is a video on Youtube from the Göteborg Film Festival of the opening night festivities. There was an icebreaker event called Min Nya Vän or My New Friend which paired up attendees with someone they may not know in order to make a new friend. Alexandra Dahlström was paired with a young woman named Ana Alcana at the event. Here is a very brief snippet from the Min Nya Vän event. You can see Alexandra and Ana at the 1:13 mark.
Elin Övergaard has a new short film called Förebilder (Picture World) which premiered during the Göteborg Film Festival this year. It’s a 13-minute short film in Swedish and is about a modelling agent named Evan who tries to do a good deed during a fashion shoot. Alexandra Dahlström is in the film though I can’t say what her role is. In the photo posted on the Göteborg Film Festival website – as well as Elin’s Tumblr – I can spot Alexandra on the left with the mug in her hand and her head turned away. Hopefully this as well as some of Elin’s other short films will be available online soon!
