Writer and director Dunja Vujovic posted a photo on Instagram of a photo from her script Love Revisited. I copied down the text and translated it into English. I couldn’t make out her notes and edits so it’s possible the script changed during filming. I’m hoping to see the film at some point but for now, here is an excerpt available in Swedish and English.

A few new Instagram finds from today. Two are from Maya Lourenço’s 30th birthday party back in October. The other is from September at Laika.
It’s that time of the year again! The 26th Stockholm International Film Festival was held November 11th through 22nd and although Alexandra Dahlström did not enter a film this year, she did participate on the jury for the Stockholm Documentary Competition alongside Stefan Nylén and Matías Meyers. Here’s a collection of photos from the festival taken from Instagram and other places on the web.
And here’s a bonus – a video taken at the festival where you can see Alexandra sneak a photo on her iPhone. Or maybe she was just checking for messages?
Quite a happy accident that I came across a new short film that Alexandra Dahlström has a role in with actor Adam Lundgren. It stared when I found a photo on Instagram via Twitter. I did a little digging and uncovered a seemingly secret project called Love Revisited which is being directed by Dunja Vujovik.
Of course the synopsis was in Swedish so I did a bit of translating. Some things are lost in translation I suspect but I think I got the gist of it.
Love Revisited is a genre reflection of romantic comedies and their dramatic structure. Based on the classic rom-com conditions and characters Love Revisited examines what the consequences are when a “no” is a “no” and you are expected to fight to the end to get the one you love.
In the first meeting between the driven Jennifer and the life-affirming Dennis the image of romance that we are fed with the Americanized movies is questioned. The hardworking man in this movie gets uncomfortably intrusive and rather than the cautious woman finally falling for his charms,, she falls instead the victim of his inability to respect her “no”. With inspiration from Groundhog Day, 50 First Dates and Love Actually – Love Revisited is this generalized excessive rom-com about gender roles, power and the right to say no.
Our vision of Love Revisited is catching rom-com uniqueness in history as the last moment shows it was a thriller. The idea is that we will have to re-evaluate what we have seen in the movie and question the man’s reluctance to “let go” of the woman and the image of her when the woman shows unwillingness to believe she actually yes.
The film is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2015 so hopefully we’ll get a chance to see it online sometime!
I’m not sure if these were from Alexandra’s visit to L.A. last year or if these are new. They were posted recently by her friend Julia Gahne on Instagram.
As mentioned back in April – Alexandra Dahlström was listed as a guest at the Beat Film Festival which was held in Russia this past May. Fish over at the forum recently found some great Instagram photos from the event! I did a little more searching and managed to uncover a few more from their Facebook page.
Here are a couple of Instagram photos of Alexandra Dahlström and Lisa Pyk from a gig at Taverna Brillo back in April.
