I finally finished up the screen captures from the film Blondie. They are available in the new photo gallery. The old one was giving me all sorts of issues on the back-end and I’d had enough.
Nothing new to report lately but I did find a music video I was completely unaware of that Alexandra was in back in 2012. It’s called The Night by an American indie rock band called School of Seven Bells who are based in New York. It’s a really cool song so you should check it out! I wasn’t able to embed the video but if you click the image below it’ll take you to the site where it’s hosted.
Update: This video isn’t an official release, it was part of a contest to create a music video for the song. A group called Les Numineuses put it together for said competition. But since it’s Alexandra Dahlström related it happily fits in here!
This photo was posted on Instagram about two days ago and was tagged as an event called Unionen Ung Arena 2013. The author captioned it: “Modern film star and future filmmaker.”
The first photo surfaced from the Stockholm Film Festival. Here is Alexandra with a group of female directors and actresses. You can read a short blurb (in English) about it here.
The trailer for Ömheten (Broken Hill Blues) is now available with English subtitles. Last I checked it will be premiering at the Stockholm Film Festival on November 11, 2013. I think Alexandra will likely make an appearance at the premiere and she is also screening her short film Fågel Fenix at the festival so I’m sure she’ll pop up somewhere.
I can’t believe it! It finally surfaced! The Babalou Smith music video for I’m A Rocker featuring Alexandra! I almost spat out my coffee when I saw it come up in my Google search. I hadn’t seen it until today so I am beyond happy! This video is from 1999 so it’s long overdue. Now I get to cross it off the wishlist!
I found another clip from Saga Gärde’s short film Babysister. Alexandra is in it and I believe it directly precedes the other clip I already have posted in the video section.
You can click the picture above to watch it or right click and “save link as” to save it. It’s been archived in the video section under Film Clips.
According to IMDB.com the film Ömheten has changed it’s English working title from Tenderness to Broken Hill Blues and an official release date is set for December 6, 2013 in Sweden. It will also be shown at the Stockholm Film Festival in a few days on November 11, 2013 if you’re lucky enough to have tickets!
Below is the official trailer for the film. Alexandra is not in it, but her voice can be heard in the school scene starting at 0:19.
Here are some photos by Ida Sjöstedt. A couple I had seen before and a couple were new! Ida considers Alexandra to be one of her muses and Alexandra even wore a dress made by Ida to the premiere of Blondie in 2012 and I believe her dress for the Elle Gala in 2011 was also an Ida creation.
