The first photo surfaced from the Stockholm Film Festival. Here is Alexandra with a group of female directors and actresses. You can read a short blurb (in English) about it here.
The trailer for Ömheten (Broken Hill Blues) is now available with English subtitles. Last I checked it will be premiering at the Stockholm Film Festival on November 11, 2013. I think Alexandra will likely make an appearance at the premiere and she is also screening her short film Fågel Fenix at the festival so I’m sure she’ll pop up somewhere.
I can’t believe it! It finally surfaced! The Babalou Smith music video for I’m A Rocker featuring Alexandra! I almost spat out my coffee when I saw it come up in my Google search. I hadn’t seen it until today so I am beyond happy! This video is from 1999 so it’s long overdue. Now I get to cross it off the wishlist!
I found another clip from Saga Gärde’s short film Babysister. Alexandra is in it and I believe it directly precedes the other clip I already have posted in the video section.
You can click the picture above to watch it or right click and “save link as” to save it. It’s been archived in the video section under Film Clips.
According to IMDB.com the film Ömheten has changed it’s English working title from Tenderness to Broken Hill Blues and an official release date is set for December 6, 2013 in Sweden. It will also be shown at the Stockholm Film Festival in a few days on November 11, 2013 if you’re lucky enough to have tickets!
Below is the official trailer for the film. Alexandra is not in it, but her voice can be heard in the school scene starting at 0:19.
Here are some photos by Ida Sjöstedt. A couple I had seen before and a couple were new! Ida considers Alexandra to be one of her muses and Alexandra even wore a dress made by Ida to the premiere of Blondie in 2012 and I believe her dress for the Elle Gala in 2011 was also an Ida creation.
The gala premiere of Lukas Moodysson’s Vi är bäst! (We Are the Best!) took place on Friday, October 11th at Cinema Saga followed by an after party at Kolingsborg with DJ Siri Hjorton Wagner. It must not have had too much press as I only came across one photo of Alexandra from the premiere. Here she is with Cissi Efraimsson of the band Vulkano.
Here are 3 photos from Carolina Gynning’s Instagram account that I came across today. They are from August 2012 and seem to be from a cast pre-screening of the film Blondie.
More information has become available on Alexandra’s short film Fågel Fenix aka Fenix Bird.
Aspiring DJ Bea has traveled with her friends to a small outdoor music festival. While she’s initially as excited as anyone else, this feeling gets ruined when she receives a call from her boyfriend who breaks up with her. Further let down by her friends, Bea sets her sights on a young, male DJ to cheer herself up. »Fenix Bird« makes the most of its Swedish country landscape with clear and warm natural light, even in evening scenes. Bea’s adventures at the festival are alternately mundane and magical, while treated with a gentle uncertainty.
More information can be found on the Stockholm Film Festival website.
Update: It seems Fågel Fenix is the original title of Den rätta. I thought the plots sounded similar so now that makes sense. (Source)
